In the city of Santiago, on July 9, 2022, Nataly Chamorro Martínez, professed of temporary vows, pronounced her vows before Queny Gredig, our Provincial, for another three years.

The Eucharistic celebration was held in the senior community of our province, Santa Maria de la Encina, together with several rscj from different communities, family, some friends and many others who followed the transmission of the Mass on YouTube.  The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Roberto Saldías sj.

It was a moment of great emotion and deep joy for our province to witness this moment in which Nataly has once again said yes to following Jesus in the Society of the Sacred Heart. She has confirmed her call to live her contemplative and apostolic vocation in community and in the love of the Heart of Jesus.

In her homily, Nataly shared the reasons for her choice of readings: Ex 3:1-14; as a psalm, Is 43:1-7 and the Gospel of Jn 15:1-17.  This Word of God has marked his journey of faith, from the first invitation to leave his homeland to cross borders, risking beyond the known. God's unconditional love acclaims him together with the prophet: Do not be afraid, I have rescued you, I am with you, I have called you by name.  And the gospel so characteristic of our charism, John 15, which reminds us that without being united to Him, we cannot bear fruit, that is to say, the great invitation is to remain in His love. It was very moving for everyone to see how these words have touched her life.

Nataly is currently studying theology, and so she has been sent to Spain, to the Mater Admirabilis Community of Granada, where she will study at Loyola University in Granada.

We hope that the joy, courage and strength that distinguish her will accompany her in this experience. We are sure that, with her new knowledge, she will be able to make a great contribution from her feminine perspective to the theological reflection of our Church.
