Today, prophet Isaiah and the Gospel of John invite us to reflect on the virtues essential for a life devoted to service, urging us to explore the interplay of humility, trust, and sacrificial love.

To wait, to stay alert, is to be able to see beyond beyond what is here and now. Waiting can teach us two things one is to be alert to the future. the horizon of the future; and secondly, to turn our attention to the things for which we are responsible at the moment.

We would like to invite you to have this moment of prayer with a few words from two students of the Sacred Heart Apoquindo School in Chile who gave as a testimony to the educators what it meant to have studied in our School.

We, Religious of the Sacred Heart, called to discover and manifest the Love of the Heart of Jesus wherever we are, this Gospel puts us back in this key: "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your spirit... and you shall love your neighbor as yourself."

As we learn from Jesus and follow His example, we find spiritual rest by recognizing that we are part of a larger and far-reaching action that heads towards making a better place for ourselves.
