To live the charism received from Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat, as described in our Constitutions, requires a strong, continuous and dynamic formation. Guided by our faith, this formation is realized through the experiences of daily life and through our network of relationships. (Const. 70)
I am grateful for the formation received so far, especially in this intense moment of probation that each one of you has supported, so that our probation could take place after a moment of uncertainty because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing renovation of the Villa Lante.
We are a diverse group, but this diversity is the source of our richness. It was a gift for me to live and experience interculturality during this time of our probation and my international experience in the community of Avigliana in Italy with our elder sisters, the elderly and the poor. Thank you to the Society for this powerful experience that allowed me to deepen and confirm my call to make a final commitment to religious life in our Society of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, after this intense formation with two very experienced women who accompanied us in our journey to strengthen our foundations in order to follow the chaste, poor and obedient Christ.
My retreat was a unique moment in my journey in search of God’s will, of deepening and confirming my call to religious life, I was very happy to encounter the love of the pierced heart of Jesus that transforms and liberates. I truly tasted the love of God in the company of Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat and the prayers of the whole Society.
