On Saturday, June 13, the provinces of the Democratic Republic of Congo – Chad and Uganda – Kenya will join to become the new Province of Africa.
The ceremony will be held at the Mbikko Formation Community, Njeru at 11 am East Africa time, and will be presided over by Rt. Rev. Bishop Christopher Kakooza, Bishop of Lugazi Diocese. Together the participants will celebrate a Mass, after which there will be a transition ceremony from the Provincial Superior of RDC-TCH, Blandine Basosa, RSCJ and the Provincial Superior of UGK, Redempta Kulundu, RSCJ, to the new Provincial Superior, Marie-Jeanne Elonga, RSCJ and the new Provincial Council, Godelieve Nzuzi, RSCJ, Penina Wambale, RSCJ, Secondina Baitwababo, RSCJ, and Obierge Makiese, RSCJ.
