As we begin Lent this Ash Wednesday, we turn to Jesus who weeps over our world yet never ceases to love it with mercy. In that spirit, we are invited to pray for deep peace, fast from violence in our thoughts and words, and give simple kindness and compassionate presence, especially to those who feel unwanted or left behind.
