JPIC Global Service Day: October 20, 2024

“Blessed is she who believed that God’s promise would be fulfilled.” (Luke 1:45)

To celebrate the feast of Mater Admirabilis (October 20), let us intentionally unite our hearts and minds as we keep alive “a wave of hope around the world.” We invite the Family of the Sacred Heart to participate anew in our annual JPIC Global Service Day.

On October 20 or thereabouts, let us highlight a concrete act of HOPE that we offer our blessed and broken world.

Mary, woman of faith among the People of God, lives close to us, as she does to everything that radiates the life of her Son.

Our Society entrusts itself in a special way to her whose heart is united and conformed to that of Jesus, so that she may lead us to Him. (RSCJ Constitutions #9)

With Mary, let us do something together and offer this as our contribution to the droplets that will create a “wave of hope around the world.”

We draw inspiration from these lines from the conference of Claire Castaing RSCJ at the closing of the 2024 General Chapter:

“It is my wish that each of you keep moving forward to follow the star you recognize, to go beyond fatigue and anything else that might distract you from the path, and to be ‘pilgrims of hope’ (Jubilee 2025) for the world.”

Please send a photo of your group in action with a brief description of the service being done to jpiclearninghub@gmail.com. Thank you!
