Transforming and Being Transformed
Pope Francis reminds us in his encyclical, Laudato Si’:
“Today… we have to realize that a true ecological approach always becomes a social approach; it must integrate questions of justice in debates on the environment, so as to hear both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor.” (#49).
Perhaps the grace we should ask for during these 40 days is to allow ourselves to be deeply transformed, renewed, converted, and to become more gentle, so that our thoughts, our words, and our actions can be transformative.
