This year’s Renewal Program 2025 for sisters 55 to 75 years of age took place at the Villa Lante in Rome from April 2 to May 14. The 19 participants from 14 provinces had the opportunity to reflect on and share their experience of living the Society’s charism.
The interchange was stimulated by input on themes of personal integral growth, the world and Church today, and the life of the Society at this moment in our history. This year’s program was enriched by engaging processes and by reflection on Madeleine Sophie’s experience of some of these same dimensions in her own life.
Facilitating the discussions were Maria Cimperman RSCJ (USC), a professor of Theological Ethics and Consecrated Life at Catholic Theological Union and Synodality coordinator for UISG; Maria Jose Iribarren RSCJ (ESP), a medical doctor and psychotherapist; Paloma Fernandez de la Hoz, RSCJ (CEI) who has a doctorate in Social History and Pastoral Theology and works in the area of social ethics; and Mariola Lopez Villanueva RSCJ (ESP) who has a doctorate in spiritual theology, teaches Patristics, Theology and Spirituality at the Faculty of Granada, and writes and gives retreats in the area of spirituality.
We asked the participants to talk about their experiences at the program, what it has meant to them personally, and what they will bring home from it. You can watch the interviews and see the photo gallery below.
