On May 25, 2025, a Eucharistic celebration was held at the Villa Lante to celebrate the Feast of Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat, as well as the hundredth anniversary of her canonization on May 24.
The Eucharistic celebration started at 12:00 pm Rome time and was presided over by Father Antoine Kerhuel, SJ. The entrance procession began with an image of Madeleine Sophie and during the offering, objects that were important symbols of Madeleine Sophie’s life and legacy, such as her travel hat, her work basket, and the journal of her stay at the Villa Lante, were brought to the altar. The celebration ended with all present gathering in front of her statue and singing the Magnificat. It was followed by an aperitif, and in the evening an organ concert played and conducted by Stefano Mhanna was held in the Villa Lante chapel.
