New Beginning in the Novitiate Community of Chicago

On January 1, 2022 the International English-Speaking Novitiate in Chicago began a new and exciting adventure welcoming the novices of Europe who will be with us for their novitiate:

Angela Deasy Natalia, from Australia-New Zealand Province (ANZ)originally from Indonesia. Deasy is a second year Novice.

Françoise, from Belgium-France-Netherlands Province (BFN) – originally from France.

Anna, from Central Europe Province (CEU) – originally from Hungary.

Katalin, from Central Europe Province (CEU) – originally from Hungary.

Alejandra, from Spain Province (ESP) – originally from Bolivia.

Anna (Panni) Csokási, CEU from Hungary will arrive January 25 to be the Assistant Novice Director.

Also, part of our community: Mary Bernstein RSCJ, Maria Cimperman, RSCJ and Ellen Collesano, RSCJ (Director of Novices), all of whom are from the United States-Canada (USC) Province.

To mark our new beginnings on New Year’s Day, we had a Zoom call with Barbara Dawson, Superior General and with their Provincials (see photo). Barbara welcomed everyone and each Provincial prayed a blessing upon the Novices, encouraging them in this new beginning:
