On this blessed day, September 8, 2026, as the Church joyfully celebrated the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, the Society of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the African Province gave thanks to the Lord for the precious gift of vocations to religious life.
In the joy of this feast, seven (7) first-year novices, including: Ambroisine Kibala, Clarisse Bongisa, Gloria Wambale, Julfanny Mfinga, Rachel Kita, Rita Siyodi, and Ruth Elolo and six (6) first-year postulants, including: Chancelvie Masewu, Germaine Mulashi, Lauriane Kangidila, Lucie Makiese, Thérèse Laful, and Syntiche Mawete, made their entrance during the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Father Christian Ndoki, S.J. Their entrance marks the beginning of a journey of formation, discernment, and growth in consecrated life, at the heart of the spirituality of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Every vocation is a gift, a hope, and a promise for the future of the mission. It reminds us that the Lord continues to call, to touch hearts, and to inspire women who desire to consecrate their lives to God and to the service of their brothers and sisters.
On this feast of the Nativity of Mary, we entrusted these new vocations to the Virgin Mary, that she may accompany them with a mother’s care on their journey, strengthen their “yes,” and teach them to keep, as she did, a heart attentive to the voice of God.
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus make the joy of giving themselves each day grow within them.
Together with them, the entire Sacred Heart family rejoices and gives thanks to God for the gift of these vocations. Welcome to our new postulants and novices! May their journey be filled with the joy of the Gospel, the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the maternal presence of Mary.
