Brief interview with Gandhi Nsonsa Kimona

What motivated you to become an RSCJ?

It was the attachment of our religious sisters to the Sacred Heart of Jesus that sparked my interest and admiration. And this is the way the Lord called me and I responded favorably: I am going to serve Him as a religious of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The time I spent in probation and my retreat renewed this call in me.  May the Lord give me the strength and the courage to go and witness His joy, His peace, His love and His mercy in my province.

How do you feel about this decision?

I just feel confident. I feel confidence in the Lord who calls me, and in my sisters with whom I am called. I also feel so much joy regarding this final commitment to the Society of the Sacred Heart. I feel the affection and encouragement of my sisters, my family, and my friends, who carry me in their prayers so that everything happens in peace. My gratitude to God, the General Council, the formation-probation team, my province and the whole Society gives me the joy of moving forward without anxiety towards the Lord.

"I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing.” Jn 15:5
