We had a lively Christmas party at the Mother House the other day, which gave the community and staff of the Mother House and the Villa Lante a chance to spend some quality time together. First, we divided up into language-based teams to have a karaoke competition, where there was just as much laughing as there was singing! Then, sisters and staff took turns smashing a brightly colored, homemade piñata until it finally exploded with candy. After gathering up all of the candy, we enjoyed an Italian lunch together in the community dining room, topped off by coffee and homemade tiramisu. It was an opportunity to laugh and relax together, and to express our gratitude towards each other and for all that we have.
