Prayer of Seeds

Yasuko Taguchi rscj has written this prayer about change, growth, healing and love.

Seeds are sown, in the northern lands. Seeds are embraced in the rich land.
There’s light and there’s darkness. The seeds receive the power of life.
The shell is torn, the bud springs out of ground, and leaps into the sunshine.
The roots spread deep into the ground.
Seedlings breathe clear air and become young trees protected by snow in winter.
The leaves tremble in the breeze in spring
And the silvery backs of the leaves make a sound in summer.

Carry the message of love, the message of the Sacred Heart.
People who don’t resonate, the pain of isolation and alienation are acute.
The Lord who had been wounded Himself heals them.
Then people resonate with each other, reach out to each other,
So that isolation becomes symbiosis and alienation becomes empathy.
The Lord who walks with us.

Carry the message of love, the message of the Sacred Heart.
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heavens.
God has made everything beautiful in His time.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11)
Receive the seeds of love, we are the soil, the crop will be plenty.

Carry the message of love, the message of the Sacred Heart.
Sowing continues, today and tomorrow.

“Everything God does is beautiful in time.”
