Sheila Smith rscj and Anne Corry rscj attended the UN Fifth Thematic Consultation on the Global Compact on Migration, which was held in Vienna on 5th September 2017.

In 2014, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan accredited Sapporo Sacred Heart as one of 56 Super Global High (SGH) schools in Japan. As a part of the SGH program, ten students are chosen each year to participate in a study tour to New York.

General Chapter 2016 calls Religious of the Sacred Heart “to reach new frontiers.” This includes the responsibility to educate for transformation that impels human beings to care for the earth.
