Seeking justice with the heart of an educator
Sapporo Sacred Heart was founded during 1963, with the Second Vatican Council still in session. The aim of this new school was to provide an "education open to the world". In recent years, the school has conducted more than 20 study abroad programs and exposure trips, including an annual UN Study Tour to New York.
On May 25, 2022, approximately 140 students and 30 faculty members at the Sapporo Sacred Heart School in Japan celebrated a “Happy Feast” online, connecting each classroom using Google meet.
Rita Pinto (IND) and Sheila Smith (UN-NGO Representative) attended some of the virtual events that were part of the 75th General Assembly of the UN, and heard the incessant cry for collaboration.
