The Professed of Temporary vows of Europe met online from February 24 to 26: Ula, GaÎtane, Timi and Cili, and Alicia and Naty. Together with our formators, we deepened our mission.
On Friday evening, we met to share from our experience what has given us life in mission, what we have learned, how our identity as RSCJ has grown and the way we live our ministry.
On Saturday morning, we were accompanied by Toya Gonz·lez de Castejón, RSCJ from Spain, with whom we were able to deepen our mission from the point of view of what it means to be sent by Jesus to manifest the love of His Heart. This is very closely linked to having an intimate relationship with Him. In the afternoon, Patricia García de Quevedo, RSCJ from Mexico, took us on a journey through the General Chapters to identify how our understanding of mission in the Society has evolved over the years.
On Sunday, we ended our meeting by sharing the areas where we believe we need to grow as RSCJs, how we can realize this, and what we feel invited to pay attention to and care for during our lives and in our mission as RSCJ.
The meeting was very enriching because it allowed us to approach our mission from the point of view of the women that we are, women called and sent. It allowed us to touch our humanity and our limitations, and to be aware that we are part of One Body in constant transformation. Today we are living a major process in which each one of us must make her contribution from her being, leaving what belongs to the individual, which means that more than being from doing, we must be from being, responding with an intimate relationship with God and deep love for others. This is what gives meaning to our commitment and consecration.
