Celebrating St. Madeleine Sophie in Torpa, India

On December 12th, the Children of the New Dawn School, a school for indigenous children, celebrated the feast of St. Madeleine Sophie with the children of class 1 to class 11.

After a festive children’s mass, the sisters, the children and the staff gathered together to bring the charism of  St. Madeleine Sophie to life. The girls from class 1 and class 2 dressed up as Madeleine Sophie and the boys dressed as Louis Barat. The students of the other classes pro-actively engaged in various competitions for poetry, logo painting on T-shirts,  and videos on the life of St. Madeleine Sophie. Prizes were awarded to the most innovative and meaningful performances. One of the award winners, a video by Rohit Topno (class 10), can be seen below.

The legacy of St. Madeleine Sophie is tangibly alive in our mission. May St. Madeleine Sophie bless us all!
