Earthquake in Kyushu, Japan

We pray for the people in the southern part of Japan
that has been hit by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake.

 

The Guardian reports:

"A total of 44,000 people were evacuated late on Thursday [14 April 2016] in the town of Mashiki after a magnitude-6.4 earthquake collapsed buildings and damaged other infrastructure. Nine people have been confirmed dead, ranging in age from 29 to 94. A further eight are in serious condition, and more than 850 were injured."
