First Vows Ceremony in RDC-TCHAD

On September 16, 2023, in the parish of Sainte-Marie de Kimwenza, two novices, Parfaite Bakaka and Prisca Mansanga, took their first vows for three years. They were received by Sister Blandine Basosa Madila, the provincial. The mass was presided over by Father Jean-Christian Ndoki of the Society of Jesus.

The two young people were accompanied to the altar by their parents. After the homily, they received their parents’ blessing. The profession ceremony then took place. It was a moment of profound joy and emotion for us, RSCJ, to relive our consecration and see our two young people give concrete form to their “yes” to the Lord’s call.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, a party was organized in the multi-purpose hall of Kimwenza high school. It brought together the families of our new young professed sisters, collaborators and associates, friends and acquaintances, consecrated persons, along with RSCJs, novices, candidates and aspirants.
