Christmas video from the Sacred Heart Kindergarten in Taiwan

Children praying

The Sacred Heart Kindergarten in Taiwan has produced a video of the children singing “Silent Night” as they celebrate Christmas. The theme this year was “2021 Loaves and Fishes – Firmly Believe to Share Love”.

The Sacred Heart Kindergarten is located in Taiwan, near the Tamshui River, and is designed to help its pupils nurture a happy and healthy future. There are eight classes, twenty teachers, and 210 students aged 3-6 in the kindergarten. The classroom has a hexagonal roof and the campus is lush with greenery and alive with the chirping of insects and birds. It is an environment that is dedicated to the Lord’s love, and which advocates the beauty of nature.

This year, the theme for the month of Christmas at this Catholic school was: “2021 Loaves and Fishes – Firmly Believe to Share Love”, focusing on the story in the Bible about the five loaves and two fishes. The story shows us that, as long as we have faith, God will do the rest of the work and will make it a blessing to others. The message is for us to let love shine as we share the blessing of God.

There are four weeks of preparation for the advent of the infant Jesus. The children are always full of anticipation, reflections, and dedications as they look forward to Christmas Eve. This year, the donation was to the Mother of Peace Primary School in Battambang, Cambodia. The whole school’s teachers and students offered blessings in this month, praying together and singing hymns in front of the manger, as they looked forward to the birth of the infant Jesus. The teachers and students recorded a video and made blessing cards for the sisters in the Sacred Heart family, sharing peace and joy.
