At the end of the 2017 Spirituality Forum, Margot Bremer rscj from Venezuela presented to Sheila Hammond rscj a precious treasure: a ciborium that according to oral tradition had been given by Sophie to Philippine in 1818 for the mission in the New World.

The RSCJ and lay treasurers in the Philippine Duchesne Region met in the College of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady of Lourdes from 20th to 24th November 2017. The College is near Niteroi on the outskirts of Río de Janeiro.

“Three long weeks have passed since hurricane Maria unleashed its fury and destroyed us. Still we wake up amazed at the destruction that surrounds us…. We want to share how we have lived and are living these days in the three RSCJ communities in the island.”

The Meeting of the New Provincials was held on the 17th to the 28th of September 2017 at the Centre Sophie Barat in Joigny. A brief report in PDF format is available here.

A message from Marta Núñez rscj, provincial of the Antilles, after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico on 20 September 2017.

From Joigny where we are participating in the New Provincials’ Meeting, we would like to share with you a message from Marta Núñez, Provincial of the Antilles, and Lourdes Velázquez, Provincial of Mexico, regarding the situation of our sisters after the natural disasters that struck their provinces.

Regular updates from the New Provincials Meeting in Joigny will be posted for now in the original language in which they are written.
