On Saturday, May 25, the Feast of S. Madeleine Sophie, the historical museum of the Villa Lante was inaugurated. When the Formation Center for Religious and Lay at the Villa Lante was designed, a space for the conservation of meaningful artifacts was created.
The Villa Lante property, in the Rome Trastevere area, was purchased in the year 1837 by Madeleine Sophie to house a new novitiate. During the twentieth century, the General Archives of the Society were moved to the Villa and for this reason too, it was decided to make the most of the artifacts preserved in the General Archives spaces by creating a dedicated space for them. A large airy room now houses different cabinets, displaying precious objects that belonged to the foundress herself and other sisters.
