The Spirituality Forum 2017 — Philippine Duchesne: Celebrating Her Life and Legacy — begins today.

In 1818, Philippine Duchesne and her companions landed in the New World on the feast of the Sacred Heart. In honor of that auspicious moment, the United States-Canada Province begins the celebration of the Bicentennial on this feast!

In the process of building a new “Region” in the Society of the Sacred Heart, why did we choose the name “Philippine Duchesne”? What is she telling us? Through this video, the communities of the whole region answer these questions.

General Chapter 2016 calls Religious of the Sacred Heart “to reach new frontiers.” This includes the responsibility to educate for transformation that impels human beings to care for the earth.
