A day after Typhoon Ulysses wreaked havoc on many places in the Philippines, Bethanie Sulleza rscj went to one of the areas that was seriously affected by the flood. She reports here what she saw.
The Philippines, which is still reeling from the last typhoon (Rolly), has been hit by yet another one (Ulysses). International media will show more photos, but here we share a few that were taken by those closest to us.
The community of Heliopolis had an idea to send an invitation to all our communities of older sisters around the Society, inviting them to share prayers to Mater, to keep all our sisters safe during this time of pandemic.

Esperanza Calabuig rscj, Provincial of the The Antilles, invites RSCJ communities and the Family of the Sacred Heart to pray together for the people of Haiti.
"This is what we know so far - 262 people have been killed and 843 injured, several are missing, 586 houses, nine hotels, around 70 small food stalls and 350 boats are known to be damaged. Authorities expect the death toll to rise as many affected areas have not yet been reached. The disaster management agency has warned people to stay away from the coastline due to the fear of another tsunami."
