I am writing to bring you greetings and share an update from the Uganda-Kenya Province. We are praying for you all for God’s protection against Covid-19. We thank the General Council for their constant communication to us and for their safe arrival to the Mother House. We are all well so far, trying to take all the possible precautions against this virus.

Here in the USC Province, as in the rest of the world, we are all doing our best to “flatten the curve” by staying at home (except for food shopping and essential medical appointments) and we are staying 6-feet away from others when we do have to go out. To date, no RSCJ has tested positive but there have been cases of Covid-19 among family members in our school communities. All our Network schools are offering classes online and almost all educational institutions are doing the same.

Dear Sr. Barbara, thank you for your letter telling us about the situation of our Sisters in different parts of the world concerning this COVID-19 pandemic! Also we are very relieved and grateful that you all arrived safely at the Mother House.
Here in Taiwan, we are also careful and are following the government policy regarding the coronavirus. Our Sacred Heart schools are going on as usual, even though classes opened two weeks later than scheduled, and they are all very careful and working hard not to let this coronavirus enter the campus.

Like one-third of world citizens, a few weeks behind Italy, we are isolated in Belgium, in France, and in the Netherlands. Our elder sisters are in their rooms in nursing homes in Brussels, La Hulpe, Poitiers, Lyon, and Montpellier. Most of us are in our communities where the reality of the pandemic has shaken up the "routine" and added another layer to everyday activities.
